Complete four units of competency to develop growth-focused leadership skills

BSBLDR511 Develop and use emotional intelligence 

Identify ways to develop emotional intelligence  and wellbeing, both personally and within your team. This includes the development of: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness and relationship management.

BSBWOR502  Lead and manage team effectiveness

Understand stages of team development and helpful ways to lead at the various stages.  Create a shared team vision in a team charter to lead a culture of team togetherness and effectiveness.

BSBLDR502 Lead and manage effective workplace relationships

Use processes to build trusting and positive workplace relationships for effective collaboration. Become proactive in identifying and resolving problems  in workplace relationships.

BSBLED501 Develop a workplace learning environment

Establish ways to build a strengths-based workplace learning community. Transform meetings and learning opportunities, and build a culture where professional development and knowledge sharing is valued.

GETTING YOU STARTED
Our welcome process involves a meeting with your personal mentor to get you set up  to start the course, and support so you're comfortable with accessing your course resources.

FLEXIBLE ACCESS TO ONLINE RESOURCES
Access to our online portal provides you with video tutorials, templates, helpful resources and assessment guidance for each unit to guide your professional learning. You can revisit this information on your phone or laptop, where and when suits you. 

WORKPLACE PROJECTS
Put your learning into action in the workplace. Your assessment workbook for each of the four leadership units has workplace projects designed to guide your learning into leadership practices.

SUPPORT WITH PERSONAL MENTOR & ZOOM WORKSHOPS
Engage with other Early Childhood leaders at our Zoom workshops to explore ways to implement new leadership knowledge.

Your personal mentor is a qualified leadership and management trainer and assessor. She supports your leadership growth with:
- assessment guidance and support
- a mentoring meeting by phone/zoom for each unit to gain insights and consider how you are (or could be) using your learning in the workplace.

NATIONALLY RECOGNISED TRAINING
You will receive a transcript of completed units on successful completion. All completed units are able to credit transferred towards the Diploma of Leadership and Management.
